With more than 12,000 visitors over three days, this flagship event—which attracts both the general public and industry professionals—has reaffirmed its key role in celebrating the Limousine cattle industry and the challenges facing the Massif Central.

For the past 12 years, livestock farmers, chefs, artisan butchers, and Meilleurs Ouvriers de France have gathered here, united by a shared passion: to showcase an exceptional region and introduce the public to meat with remarkable flavor and nutritional qualities.

The 2026 edition concluded on a very positive note, demonstrating the public’s and industry professionals’ commitment to the excellence of this livestock farming.

1st Edition of the #AgriTech Startup Challenge

Organized by La French Tech Limousin, the event lived up to all expectations on Saturday, October 17. On stage, the 13 startups from all over France presented their innovations during a dynamic session of pitches and demonstrations. This unprecedented event served as a showcase for these innovative solutions, laying the groundwork for promising exchanges with breeders and key players in the agricultural sector.

BREEDING STOCK AUCTION: A SHARPLY RISING AVERAGE PRICE AND INTERNATIONAL BIDDING

The traditional breeding stock auction organized this year by Lauv'Lim and Jean-Luc KRESS concluded on a very positive note, illustrating the breed’s great vitality and the continued interest of French and international investors.

Key figures from the sale:

·         59 animals sold, reflecting the smooth flow of transactions and the quality of the animals offered.

·         Average price: €8,780 (2025 average price: €7,300), confirming a high valuation for the animals presented.
